Ruth Davidson crowned a glorious night by winning her constituency seat with a massive increase of 15.5% of the vote. She also led Scotland’s Tory party to a stunning victory over Labour.
Long considered dead and buried, the Scottish Tories are made a stunning comeback and are now the official opposition to the SNP in Holyrood.

There was a stunning gain from Labour in Dumfriesshire, which the party had held for over a decade.
Davidson, a former Army veteran, is a plain spoken lesbian who has charmed the hell out of Scotland since her election.
Ruth Davidson is the only Tory that I would consider voting for. That's how amazing she is.

The night saw double-digit swings to the Tories from Labour who were reduced to spinning that they didn’t lose to the Conservatives (they did) but scored own goals on themselves.
Labour sources in Scotland keen to point out if they are beaten into 3rd place it is not Tories overtaking them, it is Labour undertaking

Ruth Davidson resurrected a Scottish Tory party that was deader than Jon Snow (not the newscaster). And the BBC couldn’t believe it.
Yes CONGRATULATIONS @Ruth_E_Davidson @ScotTories @PatMcPhee1 @ScotTories https://t.co/sBXMrnsiEw
