Theresa May’s first day as Britain’s second female Prime Minister sent Westminster into a frenzy, with a slew of new Cabinet appointments and sackings.
The blistering pace of news and speculation based on who is up and down in the new administration made for one of the most exciting news days in an already-packed few weeks.
But spare a thought for those who found it all a bit much, and have literally shut down:
Reports abounded of leftie young things – mostly freelance creatives – who find being on the wrong side of democracy such a downer that they can hardly go outside any more.
It follows weeks of hysteria over Britain’s vote to leave the EU, which even led to state-funded counselling sessions being laid on for people who couldn’t cope.
It is not clear what the delicate souls thought might happen when one Conservative administration was replaced with another Conservative administration:
Though the most fun actually came from a piece of continuity – when Jeremy Hunt was rumoured to be ousted from the Health department:
