Breitbart UK need to be a little more careful. They ran a Twitter-based feature about “Conservative” voters who are “defecting to UKIP”.
Meet their first two “Conservatives”, “Blinkered Britain” and Steve Lawton. Blinkered was asked on June 20th ‘If a General Election was held now whom would you vote for?” “UKIP,” he replied.
OK, so how about the rest of the “defecting Tories”?
“Stuart King” appears to be an Arron Banks pro-Leadsom bot, account goes back only to June 24th with many friendly UKIP and Banks tweets. “Tory Bastard” was actually a Tory, but also loves Trump, so out of place.
“Titmus Richamus” is obviously another Arron Banks bot, full of @LeaveEUOfficial RTs and Leadsom spam (Andrea Leadsom never wanted Banks’ backing and disavowed him and Farage repeatedly).
“No. 1 confused” is another far right account, not a Tory, tweeting out “white lives matter” – these accounts are run by the FSB from troll farms in St. Petersburg
So, who else have Breitbart got? Jim Swanny. Probably not a Tory:
Giles D Henry is, alas, yet another far right bot, tweeting this stuff:
And, as the coup de grace, Breitbart’s final “defecting Conservative” is actually a “Britain First” supporter.
