Monty Python’s John Cleese Declares for Brexit in EU Referendum

These are dark days for David Cameron – and bright days for Brexit.

After British vaccuum cleaner billionaire James Dyson declared that the EU sucked, iconic British Monty Python comic said that he was going to back Brexit – as the EU can’t be reformed.

In ten Downing Street the ‘Ministry of Silly Walks’ may become the ‘Ministry of Squeaky Bums’ – British slang for a nervous man – as reports on the ground indicate Leave is beating Remain by a significant margin. British political journalist J G Forsyth reported in the Sun, the UK’s bestselling newspaper, that Labour MPs for Remain are glum at 70%-30% canvass returns in left-wing cities for Leave – these areas might have been expected to argue for staying in the EU.

Labour MPs are very nervous about what the canvas returns in their own areas are telling them.

It is running 70-30 for Brexit in some seats, I’m told.

“What I am most struck by is Labour MPs’ gloom about the big northern cities,” says one Cabinet minister closely involved with the In campaign.
