Labour Wants to Run the Country, Can’t Even Spell PM’s Name Right

Contrary to appearances, the Labour’s party’s main job is not attacking itself – but convincing the British people it would be a better Government than the Government.

It would probably have an easier time doing that, however, if it knew who it is hoping to replace.

The party today embarrassed itself again by releasing a statement savaging one “Teresa May” for failing to make economic contingency plans for the aftermath of a Brexit vote:

Teresa May3

Scholars among you will note that the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom is in fact Theresa May.

The minister responsible for the gaffe is Shadow Business Secretary Jon Trickett (pictured below, left on the back row), reacting to news of lower government spending on big infrastructure projects.

The mistake – which appears in the press release title and again in direct quotation – was blasted out to hundreds of Westminster hacks just after midday on Monday.

Mr Trickett, and the Labour party, would have us believe that they and their planned National Investment Bank should instead be trusted with the nation’s finances.

Some will wonder how they will manage that when they can’t even be trusted with a mailing list.
