Kanye West has publicly backed Donald Trump, telling shocked fans at a concert: “I would have voted on Trump”.
The rap superstar said he didn’t vote in the presidential election – but that if he had, he would have cast his vote for The Donald.
The comments were caught on cell phone video and posted to social media:

In the clip he can be heard saying: “I said something that was kind of politically correct… I told, I told y’all I didn’t vote, right?
“But I didn’t tell you… I guess I told you… but if I would’ve voted, I would’ve voted on Trump”.
A report of the concert from the San Jose Mercury News said Kanye had supported Trump for a long time, but was shamed into keeping silent during the campaign.
The paper reported he said: “I wanted to say that before the election, but they told me: ‘Whatever you do don’t say that aloud.'”
Some fans attending the concert – at the SAP Pavilion in San Jose, California, began live-tweeting the event.
They claimed he stopped 13 times during a one-hour set to talk about his politics, and repeated his intention to run for the White House himself in 2020.
Kanye now playing Blood on the Leaves. There have been 13 stops, about 1 hour of ranting so far.

West also admitted that he feels he will have the experience to run for President in 2020.
Kanye just said he thinks he'll have the experience in 2020 to run for office, I'm dead serious, Kanye just said he's preparing for 2020.

It was reported by a bystander that a woman threw an object at Mr West during his speech. Another woman who said that she still supported him despite his views ended with Kanye taking her Yeezy trainers and signing them.
Kanye just took that girls Yeezys and signed them with a sharpie and gave it back to her.
