The Apprentice made the Donald’s career. He looked richer and tougher and smarter than he was. And he loved it. This pathological narcissist had all the attention he could eat, and ratings were through the roof.
They used to say that politics was ‘showbiz for ugly people’. But the Trump candidacy has made politics ‘ugly for showbiz people’.
Trump’s fight with the grief-stricken mother of a dead Muslim hero was only the last in a long line of failures, so long that NBC had to screen-cap them into 24 hours of disaster:

Hillary Clinton is crushing, and I mean crushing, Trump in post-convention polls. She’s opened up a 9 point lead. Trump once said he’d put new states into play. And he has – Missouri and Arizona – but for the Democrats. Of course, as we can see above, Donald Trump also insulted war hero and former Republican nominee Senator John McCain – he doesn’t care if military heroes are Democrats or Republicans, the draft-dodger will diss them.

You don’t think Trump would fight a baby, in public? How wrong you are:
Mothers, babies – anything except the Democrats and Hillary Clinton. But let’s face it, Khzir Khan opened up the war on Trump that it is working. Hillary had enough guts to put a Muslim on stage to make the case – the religion that is detested by many Americans, because of Islamist terror. But she had the courage to speak out against discrimination using a possibly unpopular messenger. And it worked.
Trump is now losing the people closest to him, namely, Paul “Putin” Manafort, who gave a “sources close to,” the formula that means “It was him”, statement to the press that the Trumpsterfire campaign wasn’t Manafort’s fault, because he was just phoning it in. Because Trump can’t win and now the scale and size of Trump’s loss is just becoming clear.
All Republicans who have taken the King’s shilling, who have prostituted themselves to stand with Donald Trump, will share in this disaster. Paul Ryan and Reince Priebus; Chris Christie, Newt Gingrich, Jeff Sessions, and Mike Pence. The list goes on. Joni Ernst will be tarnished. Everybody who backed Trump will be diminished. Ted Cruz will emerge from election night looking like the glorious hero that he really is for standing up for the constitution in the name of the Party of Lincoln.
But the worst affected will, of course, be Donald Trump. When the 4Chan and Russian fake accounts are stripped away, Trump will be exposed as the fat, bewigged loser that he really is. No free media from friendly TV hosts or hypnotized press outlets will be able to help him. The scale of the Republican defeat means that far from winning over Reagan Democrats, Donald Trump will shrink to becoming the Democrats under Reagan. If it’s 1984, Donald Trump is getting ready to play the part of Walter Mondale.
It’s going to be brutal. And Trump, who was never a Republican, won’t care if he loses the House and Senate – in fact, he’ll enjoy that as revenge. But what he will not enjoy is the firestorm of mockery, scorn and repressed total hatred that will descend on his head for the rest of his life. He will never be called a “winner” again. He’s going to lose YUGE. In fact, in TV terms – all he cares about – Donald will shift from ‘The Apprentice,’ a new candidate successfully taking on politics, to ‘The Biggest Loser’.
Can Donald Trump tolerate pity? He loves hate – staged fights are part of reality TV. But Hillary Clinton crushing him and Pence into such rubble he’ll be lucky if he takes Indiana – that’s something that will hang around his neck forever.
Loser. Laughingstock. Disaster. His businesses will suffer, and Putin, whose Russia has propped up the Trumpire, will have no further use for the defeated Moronchurian Candidate. Putin also will be shamed by his puppet candidate getting his lunch and dinner handed to him. Vladimir Putin’s troll and propaganda army will be shown up as powerless because of how badly Donald loses. Does the old-style KGB agent want such an embarrassing loss on his hands?
There is a solution for Donnie, although it’s left field. Blame the GOP and quit. Let Mike Pence carry the can. Say it’s a lamestream media conspiracy and the polls are rigged. Say it’s hurting your business. Quit – walk out, instead of allowing the public to kick your flabby orange behind in front of all your fellow millionaires, all over the world. (He might be a millionaire. He’s clearly no billionaire).
Because it’s better to quit while you’re behind, than to have your show canceled. And the Trump Train Crash reality show is heading for a nasty dose of actual reality.
