A man has been arrested in Paris after his car was found outside Paris’ Notre Dame cathedral rammed with explosives in an alleged “test run” terror strike.
The unnamed suspect was taken into custody after police found his Peugeot car in front of the iconic building in the middle of the French capital.
The car, seized Saturday night, had no licence plate, seven canisters inside and some kind of Arabic literature, according to MailOnline.

Police sources told the AFP news agency that they believe the suspect “may have been trying to carry out a test-run.”
They appear to believe it was not a true attempted attack because the canisters were not attached to a detonator. One cylinder was reportedly empty.
Paris remains on edge after 130 people were killed this November in attacks on the Bataclan theatre music venue, several restaurants and a sports stadium.
Heat Street recently unveiled evidence that the terrorists inside the Bataclan carried out much more gruesome murders than originally supposed during the attack.
Nice also suffered a high-profile attack on Bastille Day in July.
