A 14-year-old boy has been suspended from school for making a “diss” rap video about another pupil.
Owen Whitney, 14, was banned from coming to school in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, for three days after making the explicit, insulting video, which was published in October.
The track was published on social media in October and attracted a small audience locally.
It was eventually reported to the school, who punished Whitney after the video emerged.
According to media reports about the incident, the video is part of an increasing trend of school students using social media platforms to mock one another in public, which can spiral out of hand.
Heat Street has contacted officials at All Saints School, who declined to comment.
