IHOP has caused an uproar on social media after retweeting a socialist woman’s Tweet saying that Hillary Clinton had a “major garbage campaign.”

IHOP soon removed the tweet from its page and claimed they were hacked.

Some on Twitter aren’t buying the excuse. If a hacker took all the time to break into their Twitter account, they could have done much more damage than one mildly controversial retweet. The prevailing theory is that IHOP’s social media manager forgot to switch to his or her personal account before doing the retweet.

Whether or not it was caused by a “hack” it’s pretty hilarious for a major company to (correctly) call Hillary out for running a major garbage campaign.
