The official No Man’s Sky subreddit voted to switch to a Mr Robot one. The change was only temporary and, according to the sub’s moderators, was aimed at getting the attention of the game’s creator, Sean Murray.
Murray had barely spoken publicly since the game’s launch turned into a huge disappointment to fans. It took a hacker to break into the Hello Game Twitter account to get him to talk. In response to the hack, he made a strange Mr. Robot reference and said he was glad someone was finally using the account again.
Server hacked. We're binging Mr Robot Episodes as quickly as we can looking for answers. Ep05 is a cracker

After months of no community engagement, his comments pissed off the community even more, and they voted to change the sub until Murray finishes binge watching Mr. Robot (or speaks to them again).
The mods eventually changed the subreddit back to normal but with an explanation of their intentions.
One of the main reasons we did this was to, hopefully, elicit a response from Hello Games/Sean Murray. Despite being featured in an article on Forbes and gaining a decent amount of attention, this event did not achieve its purpose. We have tried nearly every thing we, reasonably and legally, can do. Despite these efforts, Hello Games has remained silent. This is highly disappointing. Kind of a recurring theme, huh?
With no new features in sight for the incredibly disappointing space explorer, and no news on development, it will probably take a stunt bigger than a subreddit change to get Murray and the rest of Hello Games out of hiding.
Well, at least we got plenty of great memes taking the piss out of Murray and his beleaguered staff.
