President Obama continues to enjoy the lame duck phase of his presidency by seeking out fun little tasks to distract himself with while Secretary of Defense Ash Carter actually runs the country. For example, he’s going to guest-edit the November issue of Wired magazine.

President Obama is just the latest celebrity to serve as guest editor for the magazine. Others include J.J. Abrams, Bill Gates, and Serena Williams.
The announcement comes just a few days after Wired issued it’s first ever political endorsement. In an excessively long piece from editor-in-chief Scott Dadich, who donated to Obama in 2008, the magazine officially backed Hillary Clinton for president, or, as the headline stated: “Wired Endorses Optimism.”

Wired, which has been described as as “Men’s Health for virgins,” is part of the Condé Nast media empire, whose leadership includes the like of Democratic megadonor Anna Wintour, whose diabolical personality was the inspiration for The Devil Wears Prada.
Wintour has helped Hillary bundle hundreds of thousands of dollars in donations for her 2016 campaign, and even helped produce a collection of fashionable campaign swag.
Public records show that dozens of Condé Nast employees have donated to Democratic candidates this cycle; zero have donated to Republicans.
Wintour is hosting a runway show fundraiser for Hillary next month along with Huma Abedin and Chelsea Clinton. Front-row tickets to the event cost $2,700 per person.
