The latest Wikileaks release from the emails of Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman, John Podesta, reveals more bad blood between the Clintons’ inner circle and only child Chelsea.
In late January 2012, Doug Band, who at the time was Bill Clinton’s closest aide, forwarded a flattering note Chelsea had written him to Podesta — who was once chief of staff in Bill Clinton’s White House — and to Cheryl Mills, a key member of Hillary Clinton’s retinue.
As you can see below, Band makes some choice comments to Mills and Podesta about Chelsea– who uses the nom de plume “Diane Reynolds”. Band refers to Chelsea as a two-faced backstabber — apparently behavior he feels mirrors that of her parents:
Band’s distaste for Chelsea was already revealed in an earlier Wikileaks release, in which he referred to Chelsea in 2011 as a “spoiled brat … who hasn’t found her way and has a lack of focus in her life.”
Chelsea is widely believed to have been behind Band’s eventual ouster Clinton’s inner circle. Podesta and Mills, however — with whom Band appears to have been quite comfortable sharing his negative observations about Chelsea and her parents — remain among Hillary Clinton’s very closest advisors.
