Hillary Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta complained to a colleague he was “getting a little tired of Chelsea’s Mom” in an August 2015 email published by WikiLeaks.
“Chelsea’s Mom” is probably a reference Hillary Clinton, an analysis has found.
In an email to campaign communications aide Kristina Schake, Podesta wrote to inquire about the timing of a conference call, and noted that he was “Getting a little tired of Chelsea’s Mom.”
Other emails published by WikiLeak reveal that Podesta occasionally expressed his annoyance with Hillary. For example, he did not seem pleased about not being informed about the private email server Clinton used as secretary of state, a scandal that sparked months of unwanted media attention.
Podesta also appeared anxious about having to call Hillary to discuss a campaign-related matter, inquiring about the status of the candidate’s “head,” and being urged by other campaign aides to “sober her up.”
