John Harwood, a reporter for CNBC and the New York Times, said he thought it was “amazing” that so many other journalists were “burning so much interview time” with Hillary Clinton by asking about her emails.

In a September 2015 email exchange published by WikiLeaks, Harwood told Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta he was amazed “that some people still think it’s worth burning so much interview time with the person most likely to be next president on her emails.”

The email was written around the time Clinton embarked on a press tour to discuss her email scandal and publicly apologize for using a secret private email server as secretary of state.

Harwood co-moderated a Republican primary debate hosted by CNBC. The debate was widely criticized for its biased and inept moderating.
