Even friends of Bill and Hillary Clinton think they sometimes exercise “the worst judgment” when choosing whom to pal around with, according to emails published by WikiLeak on Saturday.
Center for American Progress president Neera Tanden emailed Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta in February 2015 to complain about liberal activist David Brock and Democratic fundraiser Mary Pat Bonner, describing them as “a nightmare,” and criticizing the Clintons for continuing to associate with them.
“Sometime HRC/WJC have the worst judgment,” Tanden wrote.
She’s not wrong. And it isn’t the first time that Tanden, who is the most colorful (and potty-mouthed) figure to emerge from the trove of WikiLeaks emails, has ridiculed the Clintons for their terrible judgment and inordinate sketchiness.
Just last month, the transparency blog Citizens Audit presented compelling evidence that Brock and Bonner would engaged in a blatant money laundering scheme by repeatedly transferring donor money among Brock’s network of Super PACs and paying out exorbitant fees each time to a firm run by Bonner.
