Drudge Report’s heavily conservative audience usually votes party line in the site’s post-debate polls. After the first debate, Donald Trump won the poll with 80%, same with Mike Pence in the VP debate — a dramatically different take from that of the Mainstream Media.
But for some reason this debate was different, with Trump only winning with about 65%, despite the media overwhelmingly agreeing he had a stronger debate showing than in the first debate.
So what could explain the almost 15-point difference? Are a large number of Drudge readers suddenly “with her”? Or is there something more sinister at play?
The folks at 4chan are immediately blaming the discrepancy on Correct the Record, the pro-Hillary super PAC which planned to pay an army of shills to argue for Clinton on social media and manipulate online discussion.
Observers noted that the poll was over 80% last night in favor of Trump, before falling dramatically.
This thread on Reddit’s r/the_donald claims Trump was at 90% before he dropped down to 57% in just 3 hours.
Based on witnesses of the dramatic polling manipulation, the attack was either automated or required a large amount of people to do it manually.
