Hillary Clinton is waving the white flag of surrender – or at least the white pantsuit.
Arriving at the US Capitol building Friday morning for Donald Trump’s inauguration, Hillary Clinton and her husband Bill Clinton appeared somber, and the former First Lady and failed Democratic Presidential candidate was clearly dressed with her own unconditional acquiescence in mind.

Sporting a white coat over a white pantsuit, Clinton rushed inside the building and did not speak to press. A CNN reporter shouted to the pair, “How does it feel to be here today?” but received no response. She or her staff however did send this Tweet:
I'm here today to honor our democracy & its enduring values. I will never stop believing in our country & its future. #Inauguration

Also looking surprisingly somber was Bernie Sanders, who appeared on the Inauguration red carpet in his signature sweater vest and anorak parka, not having felt the need to dress up for the occasion.

Melania Trump is, reportedly, dressed in custom Ralph Lauren. Her husband, Donald Trump, is wearing the expected red power tie and suit from his personal collection.
Trump senior adviser Kellyanne Conway made the biggest sartorial splash wearing, what she calls, “Trump Revolutionary” chic — a Revolutionary war (or, perhaps, Hamilton) — inspired blue and white coat paired with a red hat and accessories. Conway arrived alongside Steve Bannon.

Dick Cheney is, so far, the only dignitary to arrive on stage wearing a cowboy hat.
