Two months ago, anti-Trump protesters caused havoc in Arizona. In an attempt to stop people from attending a Trump rally, demonstrators blocked a major highway.

Gov. Doug Ducey has had enough of those shenanigans. He has signed a law increasing the maximum prison term for roadway blocking during protests from 30 days to 6 months and the fine from $500 to $2,500.

This specifically applies those who block traffic to a political rally or government meeting. So basically anyone trying to silence political speech. The law also stops colleges and universities from restricting any “noncommercial expressive activity” on their campuses.

All in all, it’s a win for free speech, unless you think that includes blocking highways.
