Hillary Clinton is a “piece of garbage” who should be “put in the firing line and shot for treason,” a Donald Trump adviser on veterans issues said Tuesday.
BuzzFeed reported the comments by New Hampshire state representative Al Baldasaro, a Marine Corps veteran who has spoken at Trump campaign events and introduced the Donald on several occasions.
“I’m a veteran that went to Desert Shield, Desert Storm. I’m also a father who sent a son to war, to Iraq, as a Marine Corps helicopter avionics technician. Hillary Clinton to me is the Jane Fonda of the Vietnam (War),” Baldasaro said on the Jeff Kuhner radio show. “She is a disgrace for the lies that she told those mothers about their children that got killed over there in Benghazi. She dropped the ball on over 400 emails requesting back up security. Something’s wrong there.”
“This whole thing disgusts me,” he added. “Hillary Clinton should be put in the firing line and shot for treason.”
This past weekend, West Virginia state representative Michael Folk wrote on Twitter that Clinton to be “tried for treason, murder, and crimes against the US Constitution… and then hung on the Mall in Washington, DC.”
Folk said the tweet was hyperbolic.
Meanwhile, many attendees at the Republican convention in Cleveland have expressed a desire to see Hillary Clinton thrown in jail.
