Trump also weighed in on the EU referendum results and the success of the “Brexit” campaign, which he supported.
Just arrived in Scotland. Place is going wild over the vote. They took their country back, just like we will take America back. No games!

Trump also released an official campaign statement, in which he praised British voters for exercising the “sacred right of all free peoples” and for reasserting “control over their own politics, borders, and economy.” He added that the November presidential election in the U.S. would give Americans “the chance to re-declare their independence.”

The British pound was down nearly 10 percent against the dollar on Friday. Speaking in Scotland, Trump welcomed the news of the falling pound because it meant more people would come to his golf course.

Trump’s support for the campaign to leave the European Union was somewhat muted. In a recent interview with Fox Business, for example, Trump said that while his “inclination would be to get out,” he didn’t think anyone should listen to him because “I haven’t really focused on it very much.”
