There’s Now a Book to Help Your Baby Become More Feminist

Have you ever looked down and your child and thought, “this baby is far too supportive of the Patriarchy?” Well, good news: There’ll soon be a book available to help you imbue your tiny tot with all of the important characteristics necessary for her (or him) to become a lifelong, probably insufferable, feminist.

Feminist Baby is a new, 22-page board book from Internet comic strip illustrator Loryn Brantz, that aims to help fellow parents “raise our kids with their eyes wide open” to the difficulties that befall women as a result of their biological gender.

Brantz says she wants parents to help introduce the tenets of feminism early on, so that children can become “liberal and progressive” thinkers, even before they learn not to drool on themselves or poop in a toilet.

“I want to help educate babies,” Brantz told Time magazine.

Brantz’s cartoons are probably familiar to left-leaning denizens of social media. She often incorporates progressive themes into her cute comic strips that feature very basic figures who encounter a variety of problematic situations.

This, however, is a full-length feature, designed specifically for parents of children “fresh out of the womb” to 2 years old. She says she hopes that caregivers will use the tale of a cute, extremely woke baby, born to a multi-cultural set of parents, as a way to start a conversation with their kids about intersectionality and feminism.

Brantz says she started the book before Donald Trump took office, but obviously, his administration is complicit in oppressing women of all shapes, sizes and colors, which is why her book is so very important in this day and age.

If you’re interested in helping your baby get his or her start in social justice, the book will be available from most major retailers for the shockingly capitalistic price of $12.
