Steven Bannon did not get the job he wanted, as we reported on earlier today. In fact, he didn’t really get a job at all – and the altright are sad about it.
Dear President Trump. WE THE PEOPLE choose Bannon for the win as your Chief of Staff. Reince is too establishment for us. Thank you sir.

The anger of Roger Stone and Newt Gingrich was also palpable – but their wing of the Trump camp seems to be on the outs as the sensible conservative establishment takes over.
Before the appointment of Reince Preibus as Chief of Staff, Roger Stone issued dire warnings – which were ignored.
The selection of @reince for COS in a @realDonaldTrump WH would cause a rebellion in Trump's base. #RyansBoy

David Duke was also unhappy:

But the most interesting hissy fit was thrown by Newt Gingrich, who tweeted putting Bannon’s name first with a capital ‘B’ and Priebus’s name second with a small ‘p’ – twice, to make sure you didn’t assume it was autocorrect.
Yet the Hill was also reporting that Mr. Gingrich had ‘no desire’ to be Secretary of State – a quote that former politicians like myself recognize usually translates to “I’ve been told I’m not getting it.”
The Bannon-priebus team is a tremendous choice by President elect Trump. Bannon for key strategies, priebus for daily management. great team
— Newt Gingrich (@newtgingrich) November 13, 2016
This little temper tantrum was accompanied by the ominous sounding announcement via the Hill, however. The altright may just have to accept that President-Elect Trump now has better things to do than pal around with Twitter trolls – and he’s getting on with the real job.
