Following his stumbling performance in this week’s debate, Donald Trump told anyone who would listen that he had problems with his microphone and wondered aloud whether sabotage was involved.
“And they also had, gave me a defective mic. Did you notice that? My mic was defective within the room,” he told a group of reporters after the debate. “No, but I wonder, was that on purpose? Was that on purpose? But I had a mic that wasn’t worked properly, with, working properly within the room.”
The complaints were roundly ridiculed by the mainstream press.
Turns out, The Donald was right.
In a one-sentence statement issued Friday afternoon, the Commission on Presidential Debates said “there were issues regarding Donald Trump’s audio that affected the sound level in the debate hall.”
Beyond that … crickets. No details on what those issues were or how they impacted the Republican presidential candidate. So far, no reaction from The Donald either.
