Prominent stoner and Hollywood celeb Seth Rogen has joined the ranks of Twitter journalists reporting “scoops” about the Donald Trump administration. Rogen used his social media account on Monday to commit an act of journalism by relaying what a “close friend at The State Department” had told him.

“I have a close friend at The State Department who says top management was purged by the new administration and there is a vacuum of skill,” Rogen tweeted. Similar version of the actor’s “report” have been published in actual media outlets, such as the Washington Post—by a reporter named Josh Rogin.

Coincidence? Maybe.

Rogen, who recently starred in a movie about cartoon sausages who have sex with each other, also described senior White House adviser Steve Bannon as “an evil white supremacist whose website printed the strangest propaganda about me.”

Rogen’s controversial film, Sausage Party, was denounced by online feminists for its “damaging portrayal” of a lesbian taco.
