Rosie O’Donnell: I’m ‘Available If Called’ to Play Steve Bannon on SNL

On Monday evening, Rosie O’Donnell said on Twitter that she would absolutely be willing to play Steve Bannon on Saturday Night Live to annoy the Trump administration.

O’Donnell, Trump’s bête noire for more than a decade, stayed up late responding to several Tweets suggesting that if SNL gave her the role, it would get even further under the president’s skin.

Right now, Mikey Day plays Bannon, attired as the Grim Reaper. But should SNL take O’Donnell up on  her offer, the White House would be watching. And already, the show has proven irritating to the new administration.

Earlier this week, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said the show had “a streak of meanness,” criticizing both Melissa McCarthy’s impression of himself and Alec Baldwin’s take on Trump.

Trump himself has repeatedly expressed his displeasure with the show, calling SNL “totally biased and not funny,” as well as “really bad television!” in a series of Tweets over the past two months.

For more than a decade, Trump and O’Donnell have feuded, both on Twitter and off.

Among other insults, Trump has referred to O’Donnell “a real loser,” “a true loser,” a “pig,” “a total trainwreck,” “crude, rude, obnoxious and dumb,” and “my nice fat little Rosie.”

O’Donnell said her ongoing feud with Trump was “the most bullying I ever experienced in my life, including as a child.” She has called him a “snake-oil salesman on Little House On The Prairie” and “an ass.” And late last year, O’Donnell also Tweeted a video suggesting Barron Trump suffered from autism, though she insisted she bore “no ill will” for the Trump children.
