Veteran reporter Bob Woodward, one half of the team that uncovered the Watergate scandal in the early 1970s, said the Clinton Foundation is “corrupt” and a “scandal,” given the intersection of foreign funding, speaking fees, and access to power.

“The mixing of speech fees, the Clinton Foundation, and actions by the State Department, which she ran, are all intertwined and it’s corrupt,” Woodward said on Fox News Sunday. “You know, I mean, you can’t just say it’s unsavory. But there’s no formal investigation going on now, and there are outs that they have.”
Woodward added that he didn’t think the election would be decided on issues related to the Clinton Foundation, which is back in the news thanks to emails published by WikiLeaks. Even the Huffington Post thinks its a bad look for the Clintons.
The emails reveal the Clinton campaign’s anxiety over a foundation event sponsored by the Moroccan government, which has been criticized for human rights abuses. Hillary wanted to attend because Moroccan government had insisted that she appear as a “condition” for millions of dollars in grants and donations to the foundation. Hillary ultimately followed her campaign staff’s advice and skipped the event. Bill and Chelsea attended instead, and the donations came through.
