Lena Dunham is on the list of semi-notable celebrities who will speak in support of Hillary Clinton at next week’s Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.
These celebrity speakers are slightly more prominent than the celebs who addressed the Republican convention in Cleveland, such as child star Scott Baio, duck magnate Willie Robertson, underwear model Antonio Sabato Jr., and Donald Trump.
Dunham has been in the headlines a lot lately. For example, she recently supported efforts to remove the guns from Jason Bourne ads, and was treated in Beyonce’s favorite hospital after being injured in a flip-flop accident.
Dunham recently told Food & Wine magazine that she thought colleges serving sushi in dining halls were guilty of “cultural appropriation.”
Dunham was one of the first celebs to endorse Hillary Clinton, and even interviewed the presumptive nominee. Asked what she could do to inspire young people to get out and vote, Hillary told Dunham: “If you can’t get excited, be pragmatic and do it anyway.”
