Hillary Clinton is more unpopular than ever, according to a new ABC News/Washington Post poll. The former secretary of state is now viewed almost as negatively as the Republican nominee, billionaire Donald Trump. They are easily the two most unpopular presidential candidates in decades.

Hillary Clinton is viewed unfavorably by 56 percent of adults, which represent a jump of 6 percent points over the last three weeks; 63 percent of adults have an unfavorable opinion of Donald Trump.

The gap disappears when only registered voters are considered; 59 percent view Clinton unfavorably compared to 60 percent for Trump.

Hillary’s popularity might have taken a hit thanks to the deluge of stories related to the Clinton Foundation andĀ its donors who were granted special access to the state department during Hillary’s time as secretary of state.

The scandal surrounding Clinton’s use of a private email server continues to make headlines as well. On Tuesday, the state department revealed that 30 emails relating to the 2012 terrorist attack in Benghazi were uncovered during the FBI’s investigation into her server. At least some of those emails had been deleted and never turned over to the state department.

Hillary Clinton insisted that she only deleted personal emails on topics such as wedding planning and “yoga routines.”
