Hillary Clinton’s ascension to power in America is beginning to look a little less like a forgone conclusion in the final days before the election, as polls have tightened and new revelations from the FBI have reminded voters that, as much as they dislike Donald Trump, they’re not huge fans of Hillary, either.
Not surprisingly, some Democrats are starting to panic as they suddenly consider the possibility that Hillary could lose.

Can't tell why. Is liberal Twitter more prone to bedwetting? Does hatred of Trump cloud judgment of anti-Trump conservative Twitter?

Should Democrats be worried? Maybe, but how worried should they be? The data nerds at Five Thirty Eight have contracted a handy guide on “The 10 Levels of Poll Fretting,” and conducted a group chat to discuss just how panicked Democrats should be about the fact that Hillary Clinton’s “clear lead” in the polls is “shrinking by the day.”

Most of the Five Thirty Eight staff seemed to agree that Democratic “poll fretting” in the 4 (anxiety) to 6 (distress) range would be appropriate, noting that it’s within the realm of possibility that current polling showing Clinton with a slight lead could turn out to be wrong.

Hillary Clinton has never successfully run for president. In 2008, she lost to Barack Obama, a political novice, in the Democratic primary. Apart from Donald Trump, she is one of the most unpopular political candidates in American history.
