The Democratic Party just broke even on the Democratic National Convention, thanks to a banner, $68.5 million fundraising month from Hillary Clinton. But now it’s been revealed that they have considered spending more than $800 million on the Republican National Convention, according to new documents from Guccifer 2.0’s DNC hack.

The plan, released to The Smoking Gun, includes the typical media surrogate operation and outside-the-event “war room” style rapid response communications team, but also includes the use of 16 full-time staffers tasked with putting on skits and passing out “Trump survival kits” at friendly RNC hotels.

The DNC has some pretty nifty ideas. According to one document, they considered staging a Jerry Springer style showdown event between “Ted Cruz,” “John Kasich”, and “Donald Trump,” starring the actual Jerry Springer (they’ve presumably altered the plan a little, given that Donald is now the presumptive nominee).

They’re also trying to organize a fast-food workers strike so that everyone in Cleveland is forced to eat ultra-expensive arena food, and a “Cereal and Bailey’s Breakfast,” in response to RNC Chair Reince Priebus’s now-famous quip about day-drinking to relieve the pain of marshaling support for Donald Trump.

Delegates won’t be left out of the DNC’s fun, either. Where it’s possible to infiltrate hotels, the DNC would place “Trumpocalypse” care packages out for RNC attendees that include barf bags and Tylenol, pass out “Trump Starter Kits” with “diplomas” from Trump University, and confuse the hell out of RNC members arriving at Cleveland’s airport with fake limo drivers.

There is no indication that the plans were ever approved, and it seems like major donors looking to underwrite a serious political campaign might have a problem with a slapdash talk show parody skit starring some DNC interns. Plus, Bernie Sanders supporters may already have the lock on amateur street performances with their expected crowdsourced DNC presentation of Les Miserables.
