George W. Bush gave a speech Saturday to celebrate the opening of the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, D.C., 13 years after he signed legislation authorizing the museum’s construction.
Bush’s speech was brief, heartfelt, and very well-received, even among his liberal critics, some of which seemed shocked to find out the former president was not, in fact, Hitler.
Everyone around me is looking around in wonderment after that speech by Bush 43. Where was that guy during his presidency, we wondered.

George Bush actually delivered a very good speech. Someone should take notes on how to address a particular audience of color. #nevertrump

Additionally, some millennial-focused media outlets lost their minds over the fact that Bush and First Lady Michelle Obama shared a hug onstage.
