Almost eight years ago to the day, Hillary Clinton defended her decision to remain in the Democratic primary versus Barack Obama by saying, “We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California [in 1968].”
Clinton’s remarks sparked a major uproar, and understandably so, given the numerous threats to Obama’s safety at the time.
This time around, Clinton and her allies are trying to pressure her opponent, Bernie Sanders, to drop out of the race. Never mind that Clinton remains under investigation for potentially mishandling classified information on her secret home-brew email server, or the fact that Sanders consistently polls better against GOP nominee Donald Trump.
Just realized that NY primary was a month ago. Dem race was effectively over right there (if not before). Inability to accept this is scary.

Clinton is feeling pretty confident about her chances these days. “I will be the nominee for my party,” the former secretary of state said Thursday. “That is already done, in effect. There is no way that I won’t be.”
