For Hillary supporters, today feels like a bad dream. It also marks the start of a quest for somebody to blame.
Think perhaps the candidate herself is to blame? Obviously not! Give these guys a try:
For some of Team Clinton, their candidate was doing just fine until a fateful letter just over a week ago brought it all crashing down.
At 9am this morning, Clinton had amassed 59,204,408 votes nationally, to Trump’s 59,058,307 — putting her technically ahead. But, like Gore in 2000, Clinton is the second democratic candidate to lose a national election while having won the popular vote. So the Democrats’ solution? Abolish it.
Disgraced Congressman Anthony Weiner, whose alleged sexually explicit chats with a 15-year-old girl prompted the FBI’s second investigation into Hillary Clinton’s emails, has turned into number one whipping boy for sulky Democrats. Bill Maher recently lashed out at Weiner calling “the c*ck that ended the world” and said he would “f*cking kill” him if Hillary Clinton lost the election.
Do they have safe houses in rehab centers?
Hillary supporters were quick to chastise third party voters who chose to cast their ballot for libertarian and green party candidates Gary Johnson and Jill Stein, assuming this was a vote wasted on Hillary.
Oh the irony.
That one was inevitable. Liberal pundits and democratic supporters are saying sexism and the (decidedly impenetrable) glass ceiling are to blame for Hillary Clinton’s defeat.
