Donald Trump is traveling to Scotland this weekend to visit one of his many fabulous golf courses, as was recently pointed out by Cher on Twitter:
Trump is the son of a Scottish immigrant; his mother came to New York from the Isle of Lewis in 1930 with just $50 to her name. Some have suggested that this makes Trump a so-called “anchor baby.”
The timing of the trip is bizarre, given the flailing nature of Trump’s presidential campaign, and the fact that Republicans are growing increasingly anxious about the prospect of having Trump as their party’s nominee.
“I’m not sure what the purpose of the trip is,” said John Thune of South Dakota, a member of the GOP leadership in the Senate.
It won’t be Trump’s first visit to his native land, as you can see by these amazing photos.
Very presidential.
Nice khakis, bro.
He’s still a better golfer than Obama.
Trying not to look awkward at the Old Course in St. Andrews.
Classic Trump.
Scotland is also where Trump grows most of his hair, apparently.
Who knows?
Hurry back, mate.
