Donald Trump knows how to sell things, especially himself. Judging by the success he’s had in the Republican primary, his strategy is relatively straightforward: 1) Talk a lot about how great (or big, or classy) something is; 2) Say “believe me” over and over again; 3) Repeat.

Trump has sold a lot of things over the course of his career. Not all of them have been a success.
