Donald Trump has officially clinched the Republican Presidential nomination.

RNC Chairman Reince Priebus called the delegates to order Tuesday evening, and asked for the roll call vote of the states that would mark the official end of the Republican primary process.

The state of New York was given the honor of officially sealing Trump’s nomination, allowing Trump’s son, Donald J. Trump, Jr. to make the announcement. Accompanied by his sisters, Ivanka and Tiffany, and brother Eric, Trump Jr. proudly announced that his father would be competing to be the next President of the United States.

“Congratulations Dad, we love you!” the siblings screamed as Trump officially crossed 1,273 delegate votes.

Even Trump’s former campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski appeared, albeit briefly, to award Trump the lion’s share of New Hampshire’s delegates.

Anti-Trump forces had initially planned to disrupt the event, hoping for one last protest, the final process went smoothly. Even Colorado’s delegation, which walked off the floor yesterday after the RNC refused to allow a roll call vote on the official slate of convention rules, happily gave their assent to Trump as nominee (though they did award their delegates to state winner Ted Cruz).

Trump, who spoke briefly Monday night, also announced that he would speak the night of his official nomination, at 9 pm EST. According to RNC protocol Trump will not accept the nomination until Thursday night.
