Donald Trump ran in the Republican primary on a tough, high-energy policy platform when it comes to enforcing our immigration laws. Recently, however, he appears to be “softening” his position, and embracing the low-energy proposals put forward by former Florida governor Jeb Bush.
Trump recently canceled a schedule speech on immigration policy, and appears to be taking advice from his senior manservant, former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.
Still, it’s difficult to pin down where exactly Trump currently stands when it comes to immigration policy, given that he continues to contradict himself.
