Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s DNC drama didn’t end with her resignation yesterday. This morning, during an address to the DNC’s Florida delegate breakfast, Schultz, who is now officially a Hillary Clinton campaign surrogate, was forced to leave the stage as her audience chanted insults and screamed at her about Bernie Sanders.
MSNBC captured the action:
Sanders supporters, holding signs with the word “EMAILS” printed on them, surrounded the Florida Congresswoman, who tried to speak through the booing and the Game of Thrones-esque shouts of “Shame! Shame! Shame!”

Although she told the crowd that “you will see me every day on the campaign trail,” they failed to take it as a threat. Schultz was then escorted out of the room as the Bernie supporters sang “Na Na Hey Hey, Goodbye.”
But Debbie wasn’t the only one to experience fallout from the DNC’s email hack as the convention got underway. Attending the California breakfast, DNC officials and Democratic members of Congress took their lives in their hands, as Bernie Sanders supporters erupted. Rep. Nancy Pelosi, Rep. Michael Honda, and Rep. Barbara Lee were caught in the crossfire.

Bernie supporters screamed their candidate’s name as Pelosi tried to get a word in edgewise. When she finally gave up, they mobbed her, one supporter even shoving a campaign poster in her face.

Pelosi reportedly tried to save her own bacon by insisting that she personally objected to having Superdelegates and praised Sanders for a well-fought primary. She even called the display “interesting” and “entertaining.”

She even insisted that the incident wasn’t nearly as exciting as meeting Stephen Colbert’s weasel, which is a real thing that happened.

But while these high-profile Democrats faced scorn, most delegate breakfasts held Monday went smoothly. Debbie Wasserman Schultz is, however, still scheduled to gavel in the convention Monday night, and sources say that Bernie Sanders’s supporters already have plans to disrupt her ceremonial appearance.
