Hillary Clinton’s health is now major issue in the presidential race, her lead in the polls is evaporating, and Democrats are starting to panic.
Hillary’s allies have started lashing out at Donald Trump in an effort to deflect legitimate questions about the candidate’s health. Unfortunately, the strategy that have chosen to deploy isn’t a very progressive one. In fact, it’s deplorable.
Democrats have decided to body shame Trump, and in doing so are engaging in a disgusting display of “thin privilege.”
Former Obama adviser David Plouffe aggressively attacked Trump’s weight by invoking the memory of William Howard Taft, the rotund former president rumored to have gotten stuck in a bath tub.
.@DavidPlouffe to @ChuckTodd on Trump's health: "He's the heaviest (presidential candidate) we've had since William Taft."

Plouffe’s former White House colleague, David Axelrod, thought this was hilarious, even though it wasn’t.

Another Obama administration alumni, Dan Pfeiffer, also got in on the action.
If Donald Trump was running against Donald Trump, he would call him "Doughy Donald"

Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid told reporters to stop asking questions about Hillary Clinton’s health and start scrutinizing the Donald’s fat body.

“He’s not slim and trim,” Reid said of Trump. “He brags about eating fast food every day. Look at his health a little bit.”
One reporter at the progressive Huffington Post couldn’t believe that Democrats would turn their backs on their allies in the “body positive” movement.
Wait, is the Democratic strategy now fat-shaming Trump?

It’s deplorable that Democrats would stoop this low. All bodies are beautiful.
