Earlier this week, Bill Clinton and Attorney General Loretta Lynch just happened to park their private jets next to each other on the tarmac at Phoenix Sky Harbor airport. Sensing that they’d be good friends, apparently, they met up and, according to Lynch, chatted about the weather, golf, and grandchildren.
They never once mentioned Bill’s wife Hillary Clinton, whom Lynch’s Department of Justice is currently investigating for her use of a private email server. And both parties insist that the impromptu meetup was pure coincidence: Lynch was on her way to Phoenix for a law enforcement training event, Clinton was headed home after meeting with a Maricopa County supervisor.
Democrats though, sensing that the two looked like they might have been discussing Hillary’s server situation, quickly took to social media (and to the airwaves) to remind Bill Clinton that he’s embarrassing everyone.
I take @LorettaLynch & @billclinton at their word that their convo in Phoenix didn't touch on probe. But foolish to create such optics.

Clinton himself has to admit the meetup looks pretty bad. Maybe next time they want to chat about their kids and whether Scottsdale has the best golf resorts, they should quietly get coffee in an undisclosed location in DC.
