Chelsea Clinton’s natural warmth and charm has always reminded people of her mother. Like a Hillary Clinton stump speech, the former first daughter’s Twitter feed has never been particularly compelling. Lately, however, Chelsea has been getting her social media “sass” on.
On Friday, the Clinton heiress weighed in on the latest social media scandal involving Donald Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway’s mistaken reference to a “Bowling Green massacre” that never occurred.
“Very grateful no one seriously hurt in the Louvre attack …or the (completely fake) Bowling Green Massacre. Please don’t make up attacks,” Chelsea tweeted in response to news that a machete-wielding maniac had been shot dead by police at the Louvre museum in Paris.

Chelsea has been unleashing the anti-Trump Twitter snark of late. When a Washington Post reporter asked “Who could have predicted this?” in response to Trump’s new proposal to end Wall Street regulations, despite his campaign rhetoric about “taking on” Wall Street, Chelsea snarked back: “Anyone taking him seriously.”
Clinton fans are loving the new, saucier Chelsea. “I am 100% here for Justifiably Furious Chelsea Clinton,” wrote Twitter user Tyger Huckabeatz. Another fan replied: “Chelsea2020!!!”
The emergence of “Justifiably Furious Chelsea” on social media comes in the wake of reports that the Clinton daughter is being groomed to run for Congress in New York. Chelsea may be in need of a job soon now that foreign and corporate donors are, for some reason, less eager to give millions to the Clinton Foundation.
Donald Trump also launched his political career by being saucy on Twitter.
