BuzzFeed, a popular internet news and culture blog, has hired a former Hillary Clinton campaign spokesman to do communications for its news division.

The decision to hire Matt Mittenthal, who served as press secretary to activist New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman prior to joining the Clinton campaign, is certain to enrage BuzzFeed critics who have long accused the food blog of being a Democratic propaganda outlet.

BuzzFeed was denounced by Trump supporters and some media critics after publishing a controversial intelligence document containing unverified allegations about Donald Trump’s relationship with the Russian government.

The document, which was widely dismissed as unreliable, famously suggested that Trump hosted a “golden showers” urination party with prostitutes in a Moscow hotel room where President Obama had once stayed. Trump specifically denied this allegation, noting that he was “very much of a germaphobe.”

BuzzFeed founder Jonah Peretti stoked internet outrage in October 2016 when he claimed that Trump’s eldest daughter, Ivanka, had once expressed a desire to see a “mulatto cock.” BuzzFeed has also come under fire for its reporting on alleged hate crimes in the wake of Trump’s election, a number of which turned out to be hoaxes.
