Australia’s ‘BootyArtist’ Takes the 2016 Election by Storm

The 2016 presidential election in the United States has inspired some fascinating artwork. Last week, Heat Street interviewed Lushsux, the Australia-based street artist whose mural of a swimsuit-clad Hillary Clinton provoked on outcry from sensitive types, including local government officials. The mural was subsequently repainted to show Hillary wearing a niqab, while the artist denounced the “petty” “progressive” scolds who were offended by the original mural.

Who is Lushsux? You can check out his Instagram feed here for more examples of his provocative street art. As it turns out, he also has another Instagram account — bootyartist — dedicated almost exclusively to paintings that explore the challenging canvas of the female bottom. Many seemed to have been inspired by the U.S. presidential election. Take a look.

Bill Clinton

Hillary for Prison

Donald Trump

George W. Bush

The booty seems to be his choice of human canvas, but he’s not afraid to try something new every once in a while.

Killary

There are plenty non-political works as well. Some are pretty provocative, others are just artistic renderings of the latest internet fads.

Harambe

Double Harambe

Sexy Pikachu

Race War

Some people find his work offensive, apparently. Sometimes the artist will post his critics angry comments.

His response to the haters is to decorate more butts with paintings of others butts.
