In the final weeks of the 2016 campaign, Republican nominee Donald Trump has ramped up attacks on the mainstream media, describing the press as “corrupt” and suggesting journalists are colluding to rig the election for Hillary Clinton, especially when it comes to reporting on the women who have recently come forward to accuse him of sexual assault.
