Elizabeth Warren was once seen as a progressive champion and the bane of Wall Street. Many were hoping that she would endorse socialist crusader Bernie Sanders in this year’s Democratic primary. But that didn’t happen.
Instead, Warren waited until the primary was basically over before giving her endorsement to Hillary Clinton, a top recipient of Wall Street cash. Bernie fans are pretty outraged about it, including one who posted a photo of herself burning an Elizabeth Warren t-shirt.

Warren is being called a sellout for endorsing a candidate who is not only a top recipient of Wall Street donations, but has also made millions of dollars giving speeches to the financial industry.
@elizabethforma I'm very confused by ur choice. U spoke out abt evils of Wall St, then endorse HRC who is Wall St ???? pic.twitter.com/v6wpAc8ZC8

Bernie Sanders supporters aren’t the only ones who think their candidate should remain in the race, even though he’s already lost. A recent poll found that a significant plurality of voters think Sanders should stay in.

Sanders has previously said he would take his campaign all the way to the Democratic convention in Philadelphia. He probably won’t, but it couldn’t hurt to hang around in case Hillary Clinton is recommended for criminal indictment after the FBI concludes its investigation into her emails.
