Hillary Clinton’s speech at the Democratic convention on Thursday included a shoutout to her primary opponent Bernie Sanders, who was one of many celebs in attendance, despite the fact that he no longer identifies as a Democrat.

Observers noticed something when the cameras panned to Sanders after Hillary mentioned his name and thanked him for his passion.

He totally did. Presumably he didn’t want to look to happy, given how much many of his most loyal supporters loathe Hillary.

Even though he knew the cameras were all pointing at him, Bernie just sat there like a statue, because emotions are for greedy capitalists, probably.

Even when his name wasn’t being mentioned, Bernie looked like he would rather be anywhere else. Can you blame him? Check out the 15-second mark of this clip:

Cheer up, Bernie. We know it must not have been easy to spent an entire year denouncing Wall Street, only to end up endorsing a candidate who gave speeches to Goldman Sachs for $200,000 a pop. There’s always next time.

Thanks for the memories. And remember, it’s the journey, not the destination.
