As Confirmation Hearings Heat Up, Neil Gorsuch Swag Hits the Internet

Judge Neil Gorsuch deftly handled his first day of confirmation hearings. He parried attacks from Al Franken and expertly handled  allegations that he’d cautioned employers to weed out pregnant women who might take advantage of family-leave policies.

He worked everything from pipe-smoking to Douglas Adams into his question-and-answer time—and got to comment on his own elimination habits (#SCOTUSbladder even trended, briefly, during Sen. Ben Sasse’s time in the hot seat).

So it’s probably no surprise that Gorsuch has built up quite a social-media fan base, with fawning conservatives lauding the judge’s every answer on the #Gorsuchhearing hashtag. It also shouldn’t come as a shocker that he’s got swag— apparently becoming the first Supreme Court nominee with his own clothing line.

You can get your very own “Gor-Such a Babe” tee on Teespring. The tee was created by Republican operatives, but proceeds go to benefit the St. Jude Children’s Cancer Research Hospital.

The design also comes printed on tote bags, coffee mugs and even a sweatshirt to take you straight from summer into winter.

If you like your support to be a little more subtle, another tee shirt site, Zazzle, has a few options. Unfortunately, they don’t quite convey the same level of dedication as the “Gor-Such a Babe” tee.

If Gorsuch passes the confirmation process, as is expected, he will have to catch up to another sitting justice before he can crown himself king of SCOTUS swag. Eighty-five year old Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg is still the reigning queen of the novelty tee, with hundreds of RBG options clogging Google’s search results.

Gorsuch’s hearings will continue on Wednesday.
