President-elect and former “Celebrity Apprentice” host Donald Trump is feuding on Twitter with the NBC reality show’s current host, Arnold Schwarzenegger, after the new season debuted to subpar ratings.
“Wow, the ratings are in and Arnold Schwarzenegger got ‘swamped’ (or destroyed) by comparison to the ratings machine, [Donald J. Trump],” the president-elect tweeted on Friday. “So much for being a movie star.”
The Donald also knocked The Arnold for not supporting him in the presidential election, writing: “But who cares, he supported Kasich & Hillary.” Schwarzenegger discussed his support for Ohio Gov. John Kasich in the Republican primary earlier this year during an interview with Heat Street at his gym in California.
The Terminator fired back at Trump on Twitter, basically telling the president-elect to stop whining and do his job. “There’s nothing more important than the people’s work,” Arnold tweeted at Trump. “I wish you the best of luck and I hope you’ll work for ALL of the American people as aggressively as you worked for your ratings.”
Trump has yet to issue a response to Schwarzenegger’s social media salvo, but that’s probably because he is in a meeting. The president-elect tweeted earlier in the day that he would be meeting with fashion icon Anna Winter and other Condé Nast editors, including his old nemesis Graydon Carter, whom many credit with being the first person to criticize the diminutive and stubby stature of Trump’s hands and fingers.
