Are these idiots trying to get Trump elected?
Protesters at a Donald Trump rally in San Jose, California turned violent Thursday evening. They berated Trump supporters, sucker punched them, threw eggs in their faces, burned the American flag, and chanted “America was never great.” Not a great look.

Like, what the hell, people?
Editors at major media companies openly sympathizing with the sucker-punchers wasn’t a great look, either.
In fact, if Elon Musk is right about us living in a Matrix-style simulation, then it would appear that our alien Sim-Earth gamer overlords are very keen to see what would happen if Donald Trump got elected president. Thursday’s violence was followed by an abysmal jobs report on Friday. If these headlines continue for the next few months, Trump’s seemingly long odds could start to swing in his favor.

The case against Donald Trump is a strong one. It’s not easy to make him appear like a sympathetic figure, especially when he does things like attack the judge presiding over his Trump University lawsuit for having “Mexican heritage.” But this outrageous behavior is probably the best way to achieve that. Some Trump supporters have certainly been violent and behaved despicably, but this mob action is a new low in 2016 — and it seems like a sign of worse to come.

San Jose’s mayor, among others, suggested that maybe Donald Trump shouldn’t hold political rallies if he doesn’t want his supporters, including a number of women, to be randomly assaulted by a mob.
Here’s a hot take: Political violence is bad. Don’t do it. More specifically: Don’t pelt a defenseless woman in the face with an egg under any circumstance. Maybe?

Again, the case for Donald Trump being unfit to serve in the White House is quite compelling, which is why it’s puzzling (and irresponsible?) that Democrats are so eager to nominate Hillary Clinton.
WATCH: Hillary Clinton’s Cascade of Lies
She is “qualified” for the job in the conventional sense, but she’s also under FBI investigation for potentially mishandling state secrets and endangering national security because she didn’t want to be inconvenienced by the “rules.” She has misled the public repeatedly on this very issue.
Fortunately for the people pretending to be excited about Hillary’s candidacy, we live in a country where powerful individuals rarely suffer the same consequences as normal people who don’t have their own foundation funded by Saudi oligarchs. It certainly doesn’t feel like Hillary is going to be indicted over her emails, but there are some pretty knowledgeable people (and Susan Sarandon) who think she will be.
There are also many who believe the idea that Hillary Clinton committed a crime is ludicrous on its face. But what if the FBI determines otherwise and recommends an indictment? Will the Justice Department have a “moral obligation” not to bring charges because it might help elect someone as odious as Trump? Or does the rule of law matter, even for powerful people?
Electing a president who was recommended for indictment on felony charges for disregarding the rules and endangering our national security isn’t a great look, either.
